Opinions!!
The heading says it
all: STOP SENDING YOUR QUESTIONS TO READER
OPINIONS!! Shaggy's been very pissed about that
since most questions are sent into Reader
Opinions instead of where they should really go,
to his section, Questions and Answers. When
questions are sent into RO, they usually take
longer to be posted since new editions of Reader
Opinions can't be made until we have at least
eight opinions (which more than half are usually
questions that should go to Q and A). New
editions of Q and A are made when we have at
least three questions, since the questions take
longer to answer than to adlib to people's
thoughts on something. Now, since we're nice,
we'll answer a question that was sent to Reader
Opinions but won't be posted there for probably
another month since we've only received two new
opinions so far, not to mention that this site
wants to keep a positive relationship with
parents, although with Swish around that seems
highly unlikely:
Where can I get a Yellow
version of Pokeman for Gameboy? My wife
and I are trying to deliver on a Secret
Santa gift to a boy in our church. Any
thoughts?–Ken Price

Gee, I've been going through the same dilemma
for myself ever since November 26th! I've
been to Toys 'R' Us, Best Buy, Target,
Wal•mart, Sears and the game was sold
out at all those places! I don't think that
the situation is going to let up for quite a
while, so it looks like you won't be able to
get the boy Pokémon Yellow! Heck, we warned
all of you plenty of times before to get the
game before the holidays come!
And the reason why
we couldn't answer any sooner was because Reader
Opinions are formatted and sent to us by a CGI
script. Take a look at an email from our RO CGI
script:

Opinion: Haw huw huw you guys suck ass
Now, this is a
perfectly good opinion that Swish would love to
fight! However, when we receive questions that
need a quick answer from parents through the the
RO box, there's no way to email them back since
the email "somewebuser@[your IP here]"
does not exist. That means that the person will
have to wait a couple of updates before having
his/her question answered because there's no way
to get back to people whom when we don't know
their email address. The person will also be
pissed at not finding their question in the
section they sent it into because I'll have
emailed the opinion to Shaggy as a Question to be
answered for Q and A. The bottom line is: DON'T
SEND IN YOUR QUESTIONS TO READER OPINIONS, SEND
THEM TO QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS!! Thanks

Monster X = More Pikaporn?
Nintendo will be
releasing a new Pokémon Game Boy Color game in
Japan tentatively titled "Pocket Monster
X." It will be the first game to use the
cellular phone adapter for the GBC which will
allow its players to trade Pokémon and download
new ones from Nintendo's network database. It's
not yet known whether it'll be another
"color" (Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, etc.)
version of the current Pokémon games or an
entirely new game. Pocket Monster X and the GBC
cell phone adapter are scheduled to for an April
2000 release Japan. Perhaps it'll be a holiday
2000 title for us.

Cliffhanger Week
This week's Pokémon
episodes leave you hanging at the the end, except
for the final episode, because they're all going
to be 2- or 3-parters. Episodes that'll be
featured this week include Ash's Battle with
Sabrina, Gyarados and the Pokémon Island
episodes, and others. As for next Saturday, there
will be three old Pokémon episodes, probably all
dealing with the holidays, and a brand-new Pinky
and the Brain Christmas Special.
