"Anyone ever notice the incoherence in the page when Airman updates it?"

Top News: Pocket Pikachu Color
::Yawn:: Another hand-held for me, whoopee.Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures announced Thursday that they will release a color version of Pocket Pikachu (known in the U.S. as Pokémon Pikachu) in Japan on November 21, the same day that Pocket Monsters Silver and Gold will be released. Pocket Pikachu Color will be basically the same as Pocket Pikachu, except that it'll be in color (of course) and will be able to communicate with Pokémon Silver and Gold (you need to be playing them in a GBC) as well as other PPC thanks to a built-in infrared port. This communication feature will let players import "Wats" from PPC to the Gold and Silver versions of Pocket Monsters. New items can then be earned from these Wats on Pocket Monsters Gold/Silver.

The Rat goes Furby
Not only did Pikachu demolish Furby (who is trying to make a comeback this Christmas), now he wants to beat it at its own game. According to Hasbro, this Pikachu has all the same abilities as a Furby, but even though I hate saying this, it's not as ugly! Here's a shot of the Furby-wannabe.

I feel sorry for Furby...

Pokémon gets topped this Christmas
Donkey Kong 64 was the choice of retailers at the inagaural Playdate '99 (Oct. 13) to be the leading console game this holiday season. Bet you thought it was gonna be Pokémon, eh? Well, at least Pokémon was in the top 13. We got the following list of the games from
IGN64.

  • No. 1 "Donkey Kong" (N64) Nintendo
(others in top 12, in alphabetical order)
  • "Crash Team Racing" (PSX) Sony
  • "Driver" (PSX) GT Interactive
  • "Final Fantasy VIII" (PSX) Electronic Arts
  • "Gran Turismo 2" (PSX) Sony
  • "Madden 2000" (PSX) Electronic Arts
  • "NFL 2K" (Dreamcast) Sega
  • "Pokemon" (Various) Nintendo
  • "Resident Evil Nemesis" (PSX) Capcom
  • "Sonic Adventure" (Dreamcast) Sega of America
  • "Tomb Raider -- Last Revelation" (PSX) Eidos Interactive
  • "WCW Mayhem" (PSX) Electronic Arts
  • "WWF Wrestlemania 2000" (N64) THQ

Airman: I still say the ape gets topped by the annoying, mangy, yellow rat!

Pokémon League Games
The Pokémon League Games (the episodes where Ash is finally participating in the Pokémon League) begin next weekend on the Pokémon TV show on Kids WB. Be sure to watch them! Also, Kids WB will be airing five episodes of the team you love to hate (Team Rocket) this week. They'll just be reruns, so I don't recommend watching those, unless you haven't.

Message Board
There's been some good talk going on in the PU Message Boards (thanks to Shaggy 2 Dope). Why don't you become part of it?
