"Man, Airman needs to learn how to date things..."

Pikachu lays the smackdown on home consoles
The Pokémon craze has left Nintendo at the top of the video game market in 1999. Since the beginning of the year, Nintendo had 51 percent of all video game revenues. The growth of the handheld game console market, the GB, has been tremendous, due in large part to Pokémon. The handheld market grew to 19 percent of the total video game market, while last year it was at 5 percent. Sales of the GB have increased a whopping 249 percent over the last year.

"The fact of the matter is that there has never been a better time to be in the dedicated video game business, " said Peter Main, executive vice president, sales and marketing for Nintendo of America (NOA). "Whether you're trying to attract the early adopter crowd with new technology like Sega, or catering to the wants and needs of millions of mass market game players like Nintendo, video games are hot—and no one is hotter than Nintendo."

Pokémon Card Game
Adding to the good news, Nintendo announced a new Pokémon Game Boy Color title, Pokémon Card. Set to be released in February of 2000, the game will be based on the popular Wizards of the Coast trading card game(Pokémon TCG). Expect the ongoing neverending Pokefever to reach new heights with the November 22 release of the much awaited Pokémon movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back.

Would you like a Pikachu with that?
Nintendo also announced that they have cut a deal for a 22 million dollar Pokémon promotion at Burger King. We can expect Burger King to try to milk more money out of Pokémon...

Airman: McDonald truly sucks... Go BK it's your birthday!

Pokémon Sweets
Many Pokefreaks have dreamed of the sensation of sucking on a Jigglypuff or rolling a Pikachu inside their mouth, but until now this has ended with a mouthful of fur and hair. Candy Planet has perfected the means to suck on a Pokémon. This fall, Candy Planet will release a hoard of tasy products ranging from candy and gum to squish gummy treats. They also plan to release collector tins and jars for these delicious snacks. We've always wanted to suck on a Charizard but lizards are nasty.

Airman: Gotta eat'em all! Hopefully, each of them will come in different fruity flavors ala Airheads.

We got a Guestboo... Message Board!
Okay so it's not really a guest book but it's much better, you can have threads and all that good stuff. To access it click on the link on that ugly yellow sidebar thing Swish loves and be prepared to be amazed, more or less.

New spanking fresh Reader Opinions
We've managed to paste together a rather short bunch this time, people have to practice their writing skills more often. A lot of the ROs we receive are turned down due to stupidity or bad grammer.
