Fight
MissingNo
First, talk to the guy in Viridian City that
needed some coffee, and if he asks you about how to
catch Pokémon say "Yes." After he talks to
you, FLY immediately to Cinnibar Island and use a
Pokémon with SURF to swim around the right shore
next to the gym. Go up and down the shore. After a
while, you will fight a Pokémon made out of a random
number of hex codes.
Here's another faster
way to encounter MissingNo.
1. FLY to Viridian
City.
2. Talk to the Old Man.
3. Say "No".
4. Go to Fuchsia City.
5. SURF up and down the border of Seafoam Island.
100+ Item
After you fight MissingNo your sixth item
will have a messed up number. It will be around 109.
Fight Pokémon
with Levels 100+
You must do the Fight Missing No. code to fight
Pokémon with levels over 100 because you might not
always fight MissingNo.
Raise Pokémon
Levels to 255
You must do the Fight Pokémon with Levels
100+ and catch a Pokémon with a level over 100, then
use Rare Candy to get the Pokémon's level up because
if you try to fight another Pokémon to gain Exp.
Points your Pokémon will go to 100 and don't try to
get it over 255 because it will go to zero after 255.
Increase
Pokéball's Catch Possibility
To help increase your chances of catching a
Pokémon, press B + Down when you use a PokéBall or
press B + Up when you use an Ultra Ball.
Here is another easy
way to catch Pokémon! When you throw any type of
PokéBall, hold A and B for an easy catch.
Evolution Tip
The earlier that you evolve a Pokémon, the
higher the two of their four stats will be when they
gain a Level than when you don't evolve them. So it's
always best to evolve them as fast as you can so your
Pokémon will be stronger.
Clone Pokémon
To start you must have two Game Boys linked.
Game Boy A has the Pokémon to be cloned and Gameboy
B will have the Pokémon to be erased because they
will get the cloned Pokémon. Gameboy A will be the
first to enter the Cable Club, and the first to trade
or this code will not work. Gameboy A will trade the
good Pokémon, and Gameboy B will trade the weak one.
After Gameboy A gets the worthless Pokémon the
screen will say "waiting". Gameboy A will
turn off the Gameboy the second "waiting"
clears off the screen. Then Gameboy B's screen will
say "trade complete". The screen won't
clear, so you'll have to turn the Gameboy off. Then,
restart the game and GB B will have a cloned
Pokémon.
